This has been a year to forget but also one we'll remember for a very long time. I don't think anybody could have predicted what's happened and the repercussions for people, families and businesses around the world.
I wanted to make a video that doesn't mention anything that's been going on, but one that highlights the importance of connection during the festive season. We all know how hard it's been not seeing those we love and enjoy spending time with. Hopefully the message comes across loud and clear... in a quiet, subtle way.
I wasn't going to release it until December 1st but seeing as all the usual players in the Christmas advert market have released theirs... here's mine.

What does Christmas mean to you? Family? Friends? Or is it being alone? This year, it's more important than ever to connect. Phone your grandad. Text your mates. Talk to a neighbour. Wherever you are - keep in touch.
I made this partly for accountability - nobody is safe from their phone ringing and my number popping up now. Apart from those whose details I don't have. You'll just have to wait.
And of course, it's there for me to have more voice over content going mega viral.
But the main point is thus:
Don't make excuses. Don't leave it too late. Simply communicate. (My inbox is always open).
The difference that can be made by a phone conversation, a short chat over the fence, an email or even just a 'hello', is immeasurable.
