Being a voiceover artist can be extremely lonely. You stand in a box by yourself half the time, then you sit at your desk for the rest of it.
So, when the opportunity to collaborate on projects comes along, I get a bit excited.
I've been networking for almost a year with a freelance videographer, Alex Durham. She's one of those people who always has crazy ideas. But, unlike other people, she follows through with them.
This project is no different.
She put together a trio: herself for animation; Caroline Kings for writing; me for... well, that's obvious.
We create an animated video for businesses from the ground up. Caroline writes the script. It gets ok'd by the client and passed on to me. I voice it, put it to music and then pass to Alex.
This is where the magic happens. She animates the script into a one minute video, where the words end up looking like the company's logo. I think... and don't quote me on this, it's called kinetic typography. Moving words.
For example, this is our logo...
Alex then turns it into this...
And here's the video...
The benefit of getting an animated video like this made is YOU DON'T HAVE TO SIT IN FRONT OF A CAMERA. Oh and it's completely different to most corporate and explainer videos, meaning it will stand out in a crowded marketplace.
