If you're going to put a customer on hold, it's best to warn them about it!

 

Then if you're putting them on hold, keep them informed... by using some other messages from the shop!

Imagine walking into a shop and the assistant coughs at you. Then talks too quietly. Then another assistant walks past wearing headphones that have music playing far too loudly. It would be a bad experience right? Right. 

 

It's the same when you phone a business. You might not realise the telephone messaging is bad, but you know you get wound up by it! Don't do the same to your callers.
